In the last edition of Tidsskrift for the department of Doctors, Professor in nutrition, Christian A. Drevon, comments on the extreme use of nutrition supplements and vitamins.
- Many people try to optimise their health by easy and cheep attempts. The marked for nutrition supplements is huge, and the statement that for a better health, better sexual life, slim waist and generally fit is marketed towards us in magazines and the media, says Drevon.
He points out that nutrition supplements can be entitled to some types of diseases and health hazards, and for healthy people only a few positive effects have been documented.
Long chained marine omega-3 fatty oils can have positive effects on the heart and vessel system, on the central nervous system and with some infections; vitamin D is important for the bone structure, and foltat can prevent the development of incontinence with the foster.
Fact: Artic Omega-3 Seal oil contains up to 24% Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA, DPA, and DHA)
