At Haukeland Hospital in Bergen, Norway, scientists have earlier preformed a promising research with seal oil on patients that have liver disease with following ligament pain. In these days they plan to perform a larger project at the hospital cooperating with the Ministry of Fisheries, where seal oil will be tested on patients with so called stress stomach. The seal oil will be included in the patient’s diet; this contains more omega-3 fatty acids that fish oil and works more “potent” in studies.

The fatty acids’ structure makes the absorption in our body easier. Researchers hope that the seal oil will change their structure on the molecules that are involved in stress stomach, and that the pain will decrease.
