The institute for internal medicine has concluded the research year, 2003, through a post presentation at the institute. There were 32 projects, and a comity selected three winners who received money price for the best posters.
Seal oil against joint pain
The second price was won by Gülen Arslan for a project that used seal oil to treat patients with joint pain or inflammatory intestine disease. The treatment was tested on a group of patients, some got seal oil, others placebo in the form of normal soy oil. The group who took seal oil reduced their pain significantly.
